It is Time for....

AUBURN FOOTBALL!
I can already smell the football in the air. The tailgating has started, the hotdogs are fresh on the grill & everyone has poured their first Bourbon and Diet Coke- mixing it together with a shaker so it goes down smoothly. I basically morph into a man during football season. Today for example I have already read up on autigers.com and JOX turned up on the radio in the store and in the car. I highly doubt many other women can top that. However, football season and I have a love/hate relationship. No I am not your fair-weathered fan by any means, I am the fan who needs to get a life from and stop living for August-December. I LOVE when we win and the chills I get when we score, but I HATE the feeling of losing. The feeling of not being able to control the situation or move the big blocker out of the way. Better yet I want to take the little yellow penalty flag and hogtie the referee with it! Ohhh Auburn football. Why do you do that to me??

Well anyways, if you ask right now if you could be anywhere in the world where would you be I will hands down this moment say Auburn Alabama sitting by the tennis courts waiting to mark our spot for tomorrow's game. Traye already has the tailgate down and people are coming from class to take turns securing our spots. We have already started sipping beers and Marty is on the road already yelling as the cars drive by. Carolyn is at school & Ellen is still sleeping. Pretty soon things will get crazy as more people come out and play and we may even stay there all night yelling at people when they drive by. Ohhhh can I go back to college now.........

Ok I am off to white water raft- yep you heard me correctly. I give a rivoting spill about football when I am going to miss the first game. Be aware this is the first game in about 8 or so years that I have never watched or listened to live. Even though it is La Monroe I am sad. So I will leave you with some favorite football pictures. I have a limited collection on my work computer, so I will have to add more later from my laptop. WAR DAMN EAGLE!!!!

The Educator...

Well I will start my funny story collection with a hilarious tale about my best friend who will be known on this blog as The Educator. The Educator and I became best friend's in college and she is one of the main culprits for me going back to school to get my Master's in Education. She insists we have summer's off so we can travel and be beach bums. The Educator is going on her third year of teaching and amazes me with her champion skills to play at night and be a wonderful teacher the following morning. Well this story tops the cake of the Educator tales (keep in mind the details will be kept to a minimum).

The Night Rider

A few weekends ago in the late night moonlight, the Educator thought it would be a wonderful idea to take a bike ride around her neighborhood. She had been out with a group of friends and was desperate to meet one of them back at her house. No one would drive her, so she opted to take her bike instead. Keep it mind if you have ever visited her neighborhood you know that she lives extremely close to two busy four lane roads and she lives in the DUI capital of America!! Well she cleverly manages to ride up one of the busy roads, wave to her friend's as they pass in a car, make it to her house and then circle all around her neighborhood. In the middle of her peaceful ride, she manages to somehow fall off the bike, ruin her pretty white sundress she was wearing, get back on the bike and ride some more. The next morning, the Educator quickly realizes something is wrong when she see's her white dress is now brown and frayed on the ends and she also has a nice skint up knee. She looks outside and see's her bike sitting upright smiling from the late night journey. She had to smile because she then (barely) remembers her late night ride around her neighborhood!

*Update to the story- The bicycle has been stolen from The Educator's backyard. She is very saddened because she is no long able to take night rides. If anyone knows of it's whereabouts please let her know!

**On another note we have discovered that the Educator has absolutely no fibbing abilities when it comes to the boyfriend- who we will coin the Enginerd- and his car being out in front of her house in the early morning hours when her STUDENTS pulled up to roll her house. Really Educator- you can lie to your students when you have too!

Obsessed...

You can easily say that I am obsessed with this little girl. She will be a year old in less than a month and not a day goes by that I think of her precious smile or cute little laughter. She is growing up to be a wonderful little lady!!!

Just the Beginning....

Wow. Where do I begin??? I do not know why I have decided to start this blog except out of complete boredom. I turned 25 on Wednesday (yes I know halfway to 50 and lower insurance) and I have been thinking about all the crazy stories my friends and I have shared over the years. There is never a week where someone does not have a hilarious-make your stomach hurt with laughter- story, a random encounter with a strange person/animal/experience or one of our crazy road trip that always churns out multiple memories!
I have also been reminiscing over my college years and the craziness that ensued. I cannot believe it has already been a little more than three years since I graduated and Tom forced me home (literally) and made me get a job. It feels like I should be pulling up to ole Leischuck Hall, or the ole Edge West 204 or even sleep walking to class in the early morning heat (bc no roommate would wake up to take me). I have experienced some of the best times with some of the best friends one girl could ever ask for from the Lord. Each of them has impacted my life in more ways than one and I hope I have been able to return the favor!
So I am starting this blog. Who in the right name knows what will come out of it, but I hope I can benefit someone or something. Hopefully my friends can share a laugh or too when I get to remind them of a hilarious happening! =)

P.S. WDE!!!! 8 days until kickoff!
